Rach's Web Designs

My work

Client feedback

Rachael Knight designed a website for my antiques business. Although I have never actually met Rachael face to face I believe we have a good working relationship, which has been conducted purely by telephone and email, and I have always found her to have excellent communication and creative skills. She was quickly able to discern my needs and create a site which communicated my intentions and style well. Rachael was always quick to respond to queries and offer solutions. She did any work within a short time frame and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Rachael is extremely easy to get along with, she is professional, polite and positive, really a pleasure to do with business with. I wish her well in any venture and recommend her design talents, administrative skills and pleasant personality.

Rachael has worked with Buxton Web Design on a number of projects and is very good at taking a customer requirement and converting this into website functionality …whether a brief fix or a complex set of features. Rachael is effective, focused and does a great job when provided with a detailed brief and clear instructions.

This website, Rachael-knight.co.uk - which I'm really proud of. Much like me, it's had many makeovers over the years. It's responsive - made with HTML5 and CSS3 - and I'm rebuilding it with Sass following a recent course I've completed.

BuxtonOsteopath.co.uk

Built using: HTML5, CSS3

Brief given? No - all my own design but liaised with the client throughout build. I love the colours used and how they compliment the site by changing as you go further down the page. The colours are warm and soothing - exactly how you should feel in the hands of an osteopath.

Learnings: How easy and effective using the "Share" tool is.

CRPDetailing.co.uk

Built using: Wordpress with CSS3 code snippets here and there

Brief given? No - all my own design. I love the slider which shows off the three main areas the client specialises in.

Learnings: My first full Wordpress site. Several learnings; the most important I found is to find the theme that's perfect as close to the start of development as possible!

Website now live courtesy of Rachael Knight who has done an amazing job I would recommend to anybody.

Built using: XHTML/CSS

Brief given? No - my own design but liaised throughout with client. One of the first sites I created. Looking to redesign this shortly with Bootstrap following on from learnings in the recent course I completed.

Smaller projects but worth a mention

My TN is a site I made using Wordpress. I suffer with trigeminal neuralgia so decided to make a website full of information for others. I started it mainly for learning Wordpress but I was asked by fellow sufferers to continue and make it usable.

I have done lots of different types of work for a Buxton agency since October 2012. This work has ranged massively - from e-commerce site builds, fixing responsive problems, promotion creation, plugin/theme installations and UX feedback.
